Qorid
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Qorid handles information when you use the Qorid application for macOS.
1. Overview
Qorid is designed to create QR codes locally on your Mac.
Qorid does not require an account, does not display advertising, and does not use analytics or tracking technologies.
2. Data Collection
Qorid does not collect personal data or usage data from the application.
The developer does not receive, store, transmit, sell, rent, or share:
- text entered into the application;
- URLs;
- Wi-Fi network names or passwords;
- email addresses;
- telephone numbers;
- contact information;
- QR codes created by the user;
- exported files;
- application usage statistics;
- device identifiers;
- location information;
- advertising identifiers;
- diagnostic or analytics data.
3. Local Processing
Information entered into Qorid is processed locally on your Mac for the purpose of generating QR codes.
The content of generated QR codes is not intentionally transmitted to the developer or to third-party services.
QR codes, settings, and history may be stored locally on your device where required for application functionality.
You can remove locally stored information by deleting items from the application, clearing its history where available, or uninstalling Qorid.
4. Internet Connection
Qorid does not require an internet connection to generate standard static QR codes.
A QR code may contain a website address or other information that causes another application or device to connect to the internet when the QR code is scanned. Such connections are initiated outside Qorid and are governed by the privacy policies of the relevant websites, applications, or services.
5. Third-Party Services
Qorid does not integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, tracking SDKs, or cloud storage services.
Purchases and downloads made through the Mac App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.
The developer does not receive payment card details or Apple Account credentials from Apple.
6. User-Provided Content
Qorid creates QR codes using information supplied by the user.
The developer does not review, monitor, verify, or control the content entered into the application.
Users are responsible for ensuring that the information they encode is lawful and that they have the right to use and distribute it.
7. Data Sharing and Sale
Qorid does not sell personal information.
Qorid does not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
Because Qorid does not collect personal information from the application, there is no application data available for the developer to sell or share.
8. Data Retention
The developer does not retain personal information entered into Qorid because that information is not transmitted to or collected by the developer.
Information stored locally on the user’s Mac remains under the user’s control.
9. Children’s Privacy
Qorid is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the application does not collect personal information, it does not intentionally collect information from users of any age.
10. Security
Qorid is designed to minimize privacy risks by processing QR-code content locally.
However, no software or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid encoding sensitive information in a QR code unless they understand that QR-code content can generally be read by anyone who has access to the code.
11. User Rights
Because Qorid does not collect or maintain personal information from the application, the developer generally has no user data to access, correct, export, or delete.
Users can manage locally stored application data directly on their Mac.
For questions about information voluntarily provided through a support request, users may contact the developer using the address below.
12. Support Communications
If you contact the developer by email, the developer may receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as:
- your name;
- email address;
- the content of your message;
- attached screenshots or files;
- technical information included in your support request.
This information will be used only to respond to your request, provide support, maintain appropriate business records, or comply with legal obligations.
Support communications will not be sold or used for advertising.
13. Legal Requirements
The developer may disclose information voluntarily provided through support communications if required to do so by applicable law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Qorid’s functionality, data practices, legal requirements, or distribution arrangements change.
The latest version will be published at the official Privacy Policy URL.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this document indicates when the Policy was most recently revised.
